🌿 7 Signs of a Healthy Church
When looking for a church community, these principles can help guide you:
1️⃣ Theology — Christ at the Centre
Ask: Does the church clearly focus on Jesus as “the way, the truth, and the life”?
(John 14:6)
A healthy church keeps Christ central — not personalities, politics, or trends.
2️⃣ Biblical Gospel — Salvation by Faith
Ask: Is salvation taught as repentance and faith in Jesus alone?
(John 3:16)
The core message of Christianity is not self-improvement, but grace through Christ.
3️⃣ Spirit-Filled Lives — Real Transformation
Ask: Do people live with conviction over sin and courageously speak about Jesus?
(John 16:13; Acts 1:8)
Healthy churches produce changed lives, not just activity.
4️⃣ Love — Visible and Practical
Ask: Is there genuine, selfless love among members?
(John 13:35)
Jesus said love would be the defining mark of His followers.
5️⃣ Justice — Compassion in Action
Ask: Does the church care for those who suffer and seek justice for the vulnerable?
(Luke 4:18–19; Matthew 25:31–46)
Biblical faith expresses itself in compassion and service.
6️⃣ Preaching — God’s Word that Convicts
Ask: Does preaching focus on the teachings of Jesus and lead people toward obedience?
(John 6:63)
Healthy preaching is both truthful and life-giving.
7️⃣ Community & Accountability — Growing Together
Ask: Does the church encourage smaller groups (around 12 people) where people are known, encouraged, and supported?
(Mark 13:13–14)
Spiritual growth happens best in real relationships — not crowds alone
